SET FREE

(For Corinne)

I run a marathon
Across the wide Savannah,
Along the deep, blue river,

It scintillates below the glistening sun
Shining above,
And rests atop the snow capped mountains,
Cradled within the valley below.

A rainbow dances in the sky.
Forever, shall I remember my silhouette,
Contrasting with this magnificent nowhere land,
My hair blazing behind me,
Dancing in the cool, evening breeze.

I could run through this valley
Down this path of life until the end of time,
For you have helped set me free...
